We did a poured in place countertop. We wanted to do an exposed aggregate finish. We started with a 4 inch polisher and this polishing pad. The end result was fantastic. These did work somewhat slow to create the large exposed aggregate stones. Cut right from the start and work to a nice final polish.

Good value. They last for a while as I processed about 40 square ft. of formed concrete countertops and it feels like there's plenty of life left. Though there was a setback with the 200 grit the countertops eventually turned out very nice and smooth. The backer pad grips really tight so you don't need to worry about them falling off.

I bought a set of these pads with different grits.I started with a 100 grit pad to polish the countertops I installed. And then changed to 200,400,800 grits. I think the 800 grit is more than enough for a smooth granite like finish.
